La La Chong Restaurant is located in Kampung Kayu Ara Damansara. It is about 5 minutes drive from the NKVE Damansara toll/ exit. My husband hesitated to eat there at first since there was no sign indicating that it is a Halal certified restaurant. But the place is prok-free and we saw a few Malay groups eating at the restaurant as well, therefore he decided it was ok.

Ample parking space. We arrrived there at 7pm, but the place are already packed!I would suggest a booking/ reservation prior to your visit, especially during weekend/ public holiday.
The restaurant. They have open area/ smoking area as well as air-conditioned space, depending on your preference.
The appetizer. Peanuts and pickled manggo. The pickled manggo is soooo nice. It has a pinch of sweet, sour, salt, and hotness to its taste. They are charging RM3/ plate for each of the tit-bits. We even ordered extra to bring back home.
Ginger Fried Asparagus. To me it was ok. Nothing extra-ordinary thing to highlight about this dish.
Sotong celup tepung. Im not sure what it is called in English. Calamari I guess. This is also normal. Just like any other calamari that u can find in other retaurant.
This is one of their signature dish. It is called Siong Tong Lala (Lala in Superior Stock). Im not a fan of lala, but this dish is good! the soup is so delicious. A must try!
This is another must try on the menu. Crab cook in butter & cream souce. Sangat sedap ok! A must try.
This fried bun is their own baked bread. It is meant for you to dip (cicah) in the thick, creamy and yummy crab gavy. layan....
