3 series

I celebrated my 30th Birthday last week. 091110 to be exact (try adding all of the numbers, you will get number 3!)

Being 30 means a lot to me. Making me reflecting back to the past 29 years of my life. I've been living my 20s to the fullest. so many things happened. I grew up, I learn, I fall in love, felt out of love, found my soul-mate, buying properties, took up scuba diving, i traveled, I was promoted, made some huge decision, some are good, some are bad, and made a few mistakes. None of them of which I regret doing. All of it made the person I am today.

Quoted from part of the bday card that hubby gave me :

"You are one strong lady, and that lady is my wife"

..... Isn't he the sweetest? :):):)

I'm blessed to receive so many well wishes from friends and family. In fact, more then 100 wishes! I get to blew candles from 3 separate cakes (yes, I got 3 birthday cakes), and few other surprising gift...

From left: Charles & Keith clutch from my lil sis, Crab tree hand cream from my cousin, and *drum roll......* a netbook from my hubby! He said it is a sign of support towards my passion for blogging and also my work that requires me to travel a lot.

These were given to me at a surprise birthday dinner that hubby secretly organized for me :)

This a a surprise present from my dear friend. Thank you for the effort... I really appreciate it (rasa terharu sangat!)

Owh, and a shopping voucher from my boss :) how cool is that?

So Three-O is such a big deal huh? I'm a 3 series now, and loving every minute of it!

** I made a wish before blowing my birthday candles. and the wish are the same for all three cakes. Please pray for me that my wish will come true... I really, really, really wants it, so desperately.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I went to watch The Switch staring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. The movie sucks (big time), totally predictable and the story line is slow as snail.

But there was one part that reminded me of friends. Friends that come and go in my life. Friends that leave foot prints in your heart. Friends that makes you who you are today.

In that movie Kassie (Jennifer Aniston) and Wally (Jason Bateman) are best friends. Kassie is a single 40 year old who decided to get pregnant through sperm donor and to make the long story short, she got pregnant and decided to go back to her hometown and her best friend Wally are left in New York. Before they separated, they made promise to each other that they will write to each other everyday and keep in touch no matter what. But obviously that never happened. The daily mail soon turn out to be weekly and slowly turns monthly and eventually narrow down to only exchange of festive cards.

The point that I'm making here is that the situation above is very true (not the sperm donor part, but the promise-to-keep-in-touch part). Over the years, I made lots of friends. Close friends. Starting from school years, university, from previous office and current workplace. Before we depart for different directions, to pursue different dreams, we promised to each other that we will keep in touch. No matter what. But who are we kidding? We are too occupied with our daily responsibility until slowly time and take over. What's left between us are space. *sigh*

But my dear friend(s) [you know who you are], although I cant keep my promise to stay in touch (we must be out of our mind to make the promise to write to each other daily), but believe me you are always in my heart.

Trifle

During my dinner at a friend’s house, I was served trifle for dessert. It was my first time tasting it and I think it is one of the best desserts apart from ice-cream (with lots and lots of choc fudge and nuts), tapai ice-cream, pudding, etc.

So being the person who loves to try and explore, I tried it my self at home. During my first attempt, the custard mixed with jelly instead of forming a separate layer. On the second attempt, the Swiss roll which I placed at the bottom level floated! I was really frustrated. And it remains floated on my third attempt. I give up!

So after telling my frustrations to the friend, he suggested for me to do a hands on learning from his maid at his house. I agreed. Finally, my trifle turns out in the actual form and taste delicious.

Some ideas that i found on the internet. Yummy!

girl talk

Had lunch with my Kerteh friends at a Sushi Restaurant. The set that we ordered were delicious. Although the price is not that expensive, surprisingly the taste is not like the typical food court Japanese food. It was decent, well presented and delicious.

Over the almost 2 hour lunch, we sure made lots of talks and definitely catching up on gossips. I was made to understand that there is a new girl who joint the company and is apparently labeled as “hot” among the guys, although my friends didn’t agree with that. According to them, her height and slim build up are the attributes that made her “look” hot. Well, that is not what we are bitching about. The problem with this “hot” chick is that she’s been bf hopping. Making promises and breaking people’s heart. Well, what can we say, serve the men right, right? They always go for good look, and personality comes second. You ask for it guys!

Next topic on the plate is BRAZILIAN WAX! My friend is sharing her experience doing it. And ouch, hell it hurts (according to her la kan…). She is doing it at Strip Ministry of Waxing, The Curve. Apparently, it is a Singapore Company and now spreading its wing to Malaysia. They also have another branch in Bangsar. Well, back to the wax experience. She said that for first timer, you cant help but to fee a little bit “violated’ as you are required to literally strip from waist down and SPREAD your legs for them to wax all the hair away. And she said it is more painful for “front” part as compared to the “back” part. And you get to choose the design! Wohoo…. They can perform art on your private part (hehehe,,, it rhymes) The price for Brazilian Wax (all clean) is slightly higher. The price starts from RM140 (if I’m not mistaken). You can also opt for bikini wax and the place also offers other services which include manicure and pedicure. According to my friend, the professionalism of the staff that is performing the services will somehow make you feel comfortable throughout the process. Plus, the sexy, clean and fresh feeling that you feel afterwards is what matters the most. I’m gonna give it a try soon, and share my experience with all of you, that is when I finally gather all the courage needed 

On another note, driving back home this evening, I encounter a very interesting or rather sad experience. Stopping at a traffic light, the girl who’s car is next to mine caught my attention. She is all glamorous and trendy (tapi tak lawa pun… hahaha, jahat!). Nice cloths, full make-up, big sun-glasses, cigarette on one hand and was nodding her head to the music playing on her radio. Maybe sebab dia rasa bosan, she took out a chewing gum, unwrapped it, gum into the mouth and to my horror, out go the wrapper through the window! Hello Cik Kak, awak tu melawa jer pandai, tapi sgt la teruk perangai. Have you heard of Global Warming? Or pollution for that matter? Buruk perangai tu makcik! Eeee… geram!

Ok la, dunno y I’m stressed over this tiny weeny matter. PMS kot (blame it on the PMS again).

Well people, save the environment. Peace!
