Homemade Porridge for Baby (1 - 2 yo)

A lot of my friends been asking about the recipe of my homemade porridge that I prepared for my son. For your info, I decided not to give my son any food with sugar or salt until he turns 2yo. So tak tau pada korang bubur ni sedap ke tak. But what gives flavor and aroma to the bubur is the homemade chicken stock (boleh tukar ke beef). So kat bawah ni I give 2 recipies. Chicken stock and bubur recipe. Selamat mencuba! Chicken Stock Bahan2 1) 3 – 4 Chicken feet (or any of chicken parts yang ada banyak sendi/ joints) 2) 1 batang besar Carrot 3) 1 biji Indian Onion (bawang yang besar2 kale kuning tu) 4) 4 batang celery 5) 1 ketul besar Halia 6) 1 kulit kayu manis, 3 bunga lawang (untuk baby obove 1 yo only) 7) Optional: Leek & daun bawang/ daun sup Cara2 1) Cuci and potong semua bahan (potong dalam size yang besar) 2) Masukan dalam periuk dengan air yang penuh (saliza guna slow cooker) 3) Rebus dengan api yang kecik selama 5 – 8 jam 4) Tutup api 5) Tapi kan stock dan biar kan sejuk (bahan2 tadi buang je, sebab dah habis khasiat) 6) Buang lapisan yang terbentuk dibagian atas (lemak) 7) Sejuk/ bekukan dalam bekas kecil2 (saliza bekukan dalam bekas kiub ice. So bila masak bubur, I will put 1-2 ketul) Bubur Bahan2 1) 3 sudu besar brown rice + 3 sudu besar white rice (you can give all white rice if you want.. haha) (I normally soak the rice for 3 – 5 hours before cook) 2) Vege (broccoli/ carrot/ pumpkin/ spinach/ soft tofu/cauliflower/etc.) – just 1 vege will do (potong jadi dadu kecil) 3) Protein (boneless fish/ checken/ beef/ ikan bilis) 4) 1 ulas bawang merah, 1 ulas bawang putih (hiris) 5) Halia (tak perlu hiris) 6) Celery 7) Unsalted butter (2 sudu makan) Cara2 1) Tumis halia, bawang putih & merah menggunakan unsalted butter 2) Bila dah terbit bau wangi (jangan sampai bawang garing), masukkan beras dan air (sehingga menutupi periuk yang sederhana besar) 3) Masukkan batang celery 4) Bila beras dah mula kembang, masukkan sayur (depends la jenis sayur. Kalau broccoli for example, boleh letak last skali) 5) Tambah air jika perlu 6) Masukkan ikan/ ayam/ daging (saliza mince kan protein ni jadi kecik2) 7) Last skali, bila bubur dah kembang and kepekatan yang sesuai, tutup api dan masukkan stock ayam (maybe dalam 4 sudu besar/ 2 kiub ice)

JT is back!

Justin Timberlake fans out there put our hands up! yes, yours truly is also a sucker for JT! I've been complaining to husband about how i hated that JT is lately focusing on acting instead of doing what he did best, singing, or dancing, or song writing for that matter.

But fuss no more coz he is finally back! he released his single last month titled suit and tie (yes, sgt best) and the full album is releasing soon.

And this morning, what seems to me an icing on the cake, is Justin making a come back performance at Grammy! what a great come back after 6 years! huhu (ok, saya akan stop jadi poyo skarang)

owh, lupa nak cakap, his hair is longer too, probably bcoz he straighten it..i dont know what do you think of it, but i kinda like it :p

Hard Rock Cafe Melaka


The last time I came to Melaka (last 2 months Rasanya) this place is still under construction. This time around, it is already open! Tapi saya tak pergi pun, a few of my friends went. They said the band performing last nite was 'ok'.. Probably gonna check out the place the next time I come here for work. They have Rock Shop too.. So those of you yang collect HRC short glass, go and grab it now! Hehe
